  2. Another great podcast! I have downloaded quite a few scrappy podcasts....some of them are just boring, some may be interesting to a few people but they just don't discuss things pertinent to me....your podcast ALWAYS holds my interest...thank you! Love it!
I had a couple thoughts while I was listening to the last few episodes.....Tracie, you mentioned that you like the idea of spray/spritz but don't want the mess. Did you know that you can download "splatter" dingbats and then print right on your background using your Cameo and the sketch pens? It's easy and no mess!
Tiffany, you mentioned that you are really preferring to make layouts but not sure about giving up PL......I did PL for one year and then knew it wasn't for me...I much preferred making 12x12 layouts. I also like all the cards and PL supplies, though. So what I do now, is add the divided page protectors right into my regular albums! For instance, when I'm doing a LO that has a ton of photos, like Christmas, a trip to the zoo with my son, a birthday, I make a 12x12 layout with my favourite picture and then I add the other good pictures into a divided page protector with some embellishment and my journalling card! This way, I can add it in when and how I like and not do it all the time or have the pressure of filling up a whole PL album.......just some thoughts!
Thanks again for the great inspiration!

    1. Thank you so much! Yours is one of my favorite comments we've ever received! You are so kind. We also love to add pocket pages into our regular albums. I thought we had talked about that - maybe not! :) Tiffany has done that more than me, but I plan to! I even have a whole Pinterest board called 12x12+PL if you wanna check it out...http://www.pinterest.com/tracieclaiborn/12x12-layout-%2B-pl/ I'm just now filling it up though because there aren't many examples of great design doing that out there! Thanks so much for listening and commenting here. It truly means so much to us that you took time to!

    2. Thanks so much for giving us some feedback on our shows. It feels great to know that someone is enjoying our discussions. We always have fun, but we want y'all to have fun listening too. :) We actually taped a few shows yesterday and I discussed my decision to stop working on PL. Instead, I'm going to just incorporate some pocket pages into my regular albums like you suggested. It's always been my goal, but I think I'm going to actively try to use more of them. Thanks again!

  4. I'm so behind on my podcasts, and holy cow, look what I missed! I don't have kids, pets, or a husband either, so this is right up my alley :D

I've been scrapbooking since 1995, and have never once thought that my life wasn't worth documenting due to a lack of those things...I love it when I find other ladies with the same view! (Big fan of Aimee and Tracy's blog) I've started mixing in monthly 6x8 PL type of pages in with my regular layouts, it's a lot of fun to play with :)

    Love listening to you ladies!

  5. WOW what a fun surprise that you talked about my questions... I'm Debra Lawrence and I have been loving your podcasts! And then on Monday to hear you talking to me about how to get sorted out in my studio was just wonderful! I have been down in my studio every night in the last week and I really want to play hooky from work tomorrow and continue working. I feel like the two of you really know what makes us scrappers going and I have found such a connection to you both. I have laughed so hard with you both and found so much inspiration through your stories. I have planned and completed so many pages since listening to you each Monday. You both are so real and sincere and I love how you champion other scrappers to learn and do this wonderful craft. Thank you for your honesty, your openness and insight. Thank you most of all for your friendship. Keep up the great work !

    1. Debra, thank you for this amazing comment! I'm glad you got to hear us discuss your questions/topics. The best compliment I ever receive is when someone tells me he/she feels that we are genuine. Thanks for taking the time to share with us that you're enjoying what we're doing; it really makes our efforts mean so much more when we know someone else 'gets it' the way we do. I appreciate you listening, Debra!

  6. I just discovered your podcast and you ladies are hilarious. I've already listened to three of them today! I so wish a few cool single gals were featured back in the day when I first started scrapbooking almost 20 years ago. No kids, no husband and no pets definitely made me feel like the odd man out so I took to making pages about my niece. I can't believe I spent those first few years thinking my life was not worthy of documenting. Luckily I got it together and now I love that I'm my own main topic...even though I managed to add a hubby and a pup to the mix:)

As for PL...Tiffany, I think you should try 6x8 before you give up. I actually gave up my 12x12 and didn't do it for two years before I returned last year. I LOVE the 6x8 size and do it monthly. I treat it as a slightly fancy photo album since my version is super simple. I also scrap 6x8 so I mix everything together.

Off to listen to another podcast!

    1. Hi bananafish! Thanks for letting us know that you're listening and that you think we're funny. Of course, we find each other pretty hilarious, but ya know, we could be nuts or something. Lol! I'm glad to hear that this was a topic that excited you even though there's a pup and a hubbie in your life now. The topics are really relevant to everyone; we just wanted to address people who might feel left out of the 'mainstream' scrapbook topics sometimes.

I did buy a 6 X 8 PL album and some page protectors, but idk if I'll just use it as a pocket page mini-album or if I'll try a smaller version of PL in it. At this point, I'm kinda tired of the PL approach, so I'm just going to give myself a break from it. This is a good idea to keep in mind though!

      So glad you're a listener!
