Episode 27: Breaking Up is Hard to Do

This week we're discussing purging our stash - specifically how and why we've purged our paper, embellishments, tools, organizational pieces, kits and more! We'll share our view on why it's okay to lighten your load when it comes to scrapbooking!

Here are three ways to listen...

1) ScrapGals on Podomatic
2) ScrapGals on iTunes
3) Right here on this player...

We promised some links to a store you can donate stuff to locally - will have to track that down - will add it soon!

Thanks for visiting! We love to hear from you - leave us a comment!

  1. Tracie - I know exactly the font on the SS Sticker Sheets and I don't love that font either! The newest Simple Stories line, Legacy (which I don't really care for) has a different font, though! Check it out on their blog!

  2. Thank you so much for the episode. You definitely made me laugh, as usual! But... you did inspire me to purge!!! I sort my older paper by color. I went thru metallic, black, brown, purple and blue patterned and solid papers. When I was done with just those, I measured my purge box and I got rid of 3"of paper. I do feel lighter!! I noticed that some paper was from 2002!! Yikes!

  3. I really enjoyed this episode! I recently did a purge of my own and it was a pretty great feeling. I brought out my scrapbook paper one stack at a time and I asked myself "Do I still like this paper?" "Could I make a layout with it right now if I wanted to?" and "would the kids at the children's hospital get more joy out of it than I would?", the last questions was especially helpful when I was on the fence about something. I knew I was going to give it to the children's hospital and that made the experience far more rewarding and when I took it down there, they were incredibly grateful.
