Events & Activities

Friday, 7/27:
Friday evening we'll have a fun pizza party, do a craft and play a get-to-know-you game. We'll give out some goodies, pick a spot and get our supplies in order for the weekend.

Saturday, 7/28:
Our guest instructor, the amazing Paige Evans, will start our day off with a two hour class. She'll guide us through two single page layouts using yummy goodies from one of her collections with American Crafts. After lunch, Tracie will teach a class called "Crafty Girl." We'll make a multi-page layout celebrating our love for crafting. We'll have giveaways and goodies for all and lots of crop time. Lunch and dinner will be provided.

Sunday, 7/29:
We'll kick off the morning with a group photo in our Scrap Gals t-shirts. After lunch, Tiffany will teach a three hour workshop called "The Care and Keeping of You." We'll craft in a custom Traveler's Notebook insert AND make a layout. Tiffany will give us lots of instruction on telling our own stories and how to write effectively. We'll play "Who Knows the Scrap Gals Best?" and the winner gets a special prize. Following a lovely dinner, we'll have more crop time and fun crafting. Lunch and dinner will be provided.

Our retreats are perfect for connecting to friends we've made in our online community and for spending time with the Scrap Gals. We like to stress that we plan these events for our listeners so we can all have fun together and bond. Crop time is included but our events are about so much more than cropping and classes.

If you plan to register, please carefully read the following information to make our registration process easier:
  • Each attendee is required to join our Seattle Facebook group. This is our primary means of getting to know you and sharing information. A link to the group will be posted in our main group after registration.
  • Each attendee must register individually. If you are paying for a friend, please do so in a separate transaction, using their name and information.
  • At time of registration, please list your phone number in the spot provided. We often have last minute questions we have to ask OR we do not get a response to an e-mail in a timely manner so we must have another means of communication.
  • Payment is due in full at time of registration. All sales are final, no refunds will be given for any reason, however, you may sell your spot and transfer it to someone else.
  • Roommates can often be found in our private retreat FB group.
  • Lakewood, WA is 30 miles from Seattle airport. We will discuss pickup options from SeaTac airport in our FB group, after registration.
  • All attendees will receive exclusive Scrap Gals merchandise plus product we choose just for you!
  • A more detailed schedule will be provided prior to event.

  1. Can we include a friend who won’t be staying for the retreat in the optional excursion on Friday?

    1. Normally we don’t allow anyone not attending the retreat to join any of our activities, however, our sightseeing excursion will be very informal and is just an optional activity for those who want to join Tiffany and me while we hang out. I’m not sure we will have structured activities. Will be more like “here’s where we’re going and let’s see what we see.” So yeah, you can bring someone else. :)

  2. I would like to attend and thinking about bringing my adult daughter. She is not on Facebook and has no interest in doing so. If we register separately, as requested, can all of the Facebook updates be passed on to her by me? Thank you! Also how many total attendees will be allowed?

    1. We would prefer she be in the group but I will allow that if you'll give me your phone number. :) The main thing about not being in the group is that we will all be getting to know each other through a series of conversations for the next three months. Also, that's where I get lunch orders and ask questions and post supply lists. But if you can give me yours and her number so that if there was every any question of did you see something important, that will be fine. Would love for y'all to join us! We have 20 spots left right now, 85 total. Our rooms holds 100 tables so we may increase that if we need to but I don't think we'll need to. Thanks Georganne!
